Well no time like the present to start a blog section to the website! I have some pretty big news to share and I am pretty excited to finally be able to tell you all why the mugs have been off the website for the last few days.
If you have been over to my Instagram, then you already know and this will be a bit more detailed version of what you read over there.
After much consideration, deliberation and a little help from Covid *being stuck at home* I have realized that it is time for me to move on from making mugs. I actually think this decision has been in the back of my head for a little over a year and was quieted amongst the noise of life.
Being home during the pandemic has been hard, but it's also been a great time for me to reflect on what and where I am going with my life, my values, my beliefs. I knew it was time for me to embrace the next chapter of my life, which means more art and to do more art, and less mugs or sublimation.
The truth is, I am far happier when drawing, painting and designing instead of the physical making of drinkware. I really struggled letting it all go, as I worked damn hard to get where I've gotten and it felt like quitting or giving up to pursue something I am passionate about. So I held on a little longer and a little longer.
Then one day I was chatting with Katie, a friend, fellow maker and manager at The Maker's Keep. I told her my thoughts and she suggested a collaboration of sorts. That was 6 months ago or so now and the pieces have all fallen into place to make this a reality.

From now on, all drinkware and totes will be made and sold exclusively through Katie @alldeckedoutevents and I @storywildstudios will NO LONGER offer them on my website. **Pins and Greetings are continue to be available through my website**
I AM however, staying on as an collaborative artist/designer behind the scenes for Katie to keep the Story Wild Studios brand alive. This way I can pursue what I feel passionate about and she can grow an pursue her own passions as well.
I feel good passing on my products and branding to Katie, she's incredibly kind, crafty and a much better business person than I am! I know she it going to do great things with the Story Wild Collection and grow the brand farther than I have been able too.
Please be patient as we slowly move the mugs from website to hers. In the meantime, I have fully stocked the The Maker's Keep Enjoy Center and Kingsway Mall locations. You can also still find mugs at Parcel and Prose
